Terms & Conditions (updated on March 8, 2024)

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the certification programs (“Certification Programs”) offered by HackerintheHouse Certifications (“HITH Certs”, “us” or “we”). By registering for or attempting any HITH Certs exams or certifications, you agree to these Terms.

Certification Requirements

To obtain and maintain a certification from HITH Certs, you must meet all specified requirements, including passing required exams, agreeing to this agreement, paying applicable fees, and complying with the HITH Certs Candidate Code of Conduct. Certifications are valid for a limited period and must be renewed periodically.

Exam Content and Scoring

All exam questions, answers, content, and scoring data are HITH Certs’ confidential and proprietary intellectual property. Any unauthorized copying, distribution, disclosure or misuse is strictly prohibited. Exam scoring is conducted by HITH Certs, and scoring is final and not subject to review.

Certification Misuse

You may only use HITH Certs logos and marks when describing certifications, you have been awarded and for relevant professional purposes. You may not use these in any misleading manner or imply any affiliation or endorsement by HITH Certs other than the certification earned.

Revocation

HITH Certs may revoke or terminate your certification if you fail to comply with these Terms, any certification requirements, exam policies, the Code of Conduct, or due to other misconduct or misuse determined at our discretion.

Certification Record Confidentiality

HITH Certs will keep confidential all certification application data, personal certification information, and exam performance data unless disclosure is requested by you or required by law.

Term and Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you hold or pursue any HITH Certs certification. HITH Certs may update or modify these Terms at any time. Your continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms. We may terminate your certification status and rights under these Terms for any violation.

Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability

All certifications and related services are provided “as is” without warranty. HITH Certs’ liability is limited, and we will not be liable for any indirect, special, consequential, or incidental damages.
